What’s going on in the grounds of Hagley Hall?

We all know something is happening over there but what exactly? At a guess,  as we are now well into spring, maybe a spot of digging, a little bit of pruning…….! Those who have surveyed the scene from the top of Clent Hill, over the last few months may have noticed the heavy machinery parked at the top end of  Hagley Park. Machinery capable of some hefty digging.

Joe Hawkins, Head of Landscape at Hagley Hall, will reveal all when he joins us at our meeting on Thursday 21st May. Joe is an absorbing speaker with an infectious enthusiasm for everything to do with this exciting  project , which is unfolding on our doorsteps. In its heyday Hagley Park drew visitors from far and wide and it is likely that in our own times people will be enjoy discovering its hidden gems as they stroll through the park.

Margaret Hathaway has already booked a visit to Hagley Park for our members, on Wednesday 10th 2015. Joe will take  us round himself and we’ll see for ourselves how things are progressing.

The trip is fully booked, no places available at the present date. don’t be disappointed. Come and enjoy Joe’s illustrated talk and promise yourself a visit  when the park opens to the public, hopefully in the near future.

Visitors and new members are welcome at all of our meetings which are held at Clent Parish Hall, DY9 9QT.

Meetings start at 8pm.

There is small charge which includes refreshments.
