25th November – A 1920’s Christmas

Christmas is Coming and……

Yes Christmas is coming soon and Clent History Society, always ever ready,  will be dipping its toes into Christmases past and present a little earlier this year. Our Christmas date to remember is Thursday 25th November. Yes 20 days after Bonfire night and a month before Christmas Day…..Never to soon to start feeling festive.

On Thursday 25th November 2021 we are pleased to welcome Paul Harding once again, this time with his re-enactment presentation – Discover History: 1920’s Christmas –

How was Christmas celebrated in the 1920s , a period of history we can’t quite separate from jazzy music, lots of dancing and fun? Will Paul have us dancing in the aisles? (at a safe social distance of course) Will we be taking a look at what was really happening in peoples’ lives at that time?

Paul brings history to life, whichever period he takes us to. This is certainly an evening to look forward to.

Best to arrive early 7.30pm and browse round any exhibitions and books we have on display – interesting glimpses of local history. Inexpensive Christmas present ideas maybe! – Meet up with other members for a bit of chat, grab a good seat and you are all set up for the start of the talk at 8pm  We will have coffee and tea on offer after the talk.

Everyone is welcome to come along. Admission is £2.50 per person.
